Paranormalcy by Kiersten White is probably one of the hottest debut author releases of 2010 with a landing date of August 31st.
Sixteen-year-old Evie's job is bagging and tagging paranormals. Possessing the strange ability to see through their glamours, she works for the International Paranormal Containment Agency. But when someone--or something--starts taking out the vamps, werewolves, and other odd beasties she's worked hard to help become productive members of society, she's got to figure it out before they all disappear and the world becomes utterly normal.
Normal is so overrated.
From Goodreads
This girl is like Anita Blake meets Nancy Drew. I find it interesting that a 16 year-old has a job like this, but I'm sure the book will make the reasoning clearer. I am hoping that this turns out to be a series, because it shows serious potential. What are you waiting on?

The book actually hits shelves a little earlier! Look for it August 31.
Look at HarperTeen, they are so on it : ) And the good news is that it is the first of three books! Yay trilogies! Thanks for spotlighting it. I'm so excited for everyone to get to meet Evie!
Thanks for the updated info! It seems a lot of release dates are getting moved. Woo hoo!
