Waiting on Wednesday: Outpost (Razorland #2) by Ann Aguirre

Waiting on Wednesday recognizes that we as bookies pine for books. This post is about what I am impatiently waiting for right now. It was started by Jill at Breaking the Spine.

I recently finished reading Enclave & I could kick myself for waiting so long to read such a GREAT book. While my review may be going up tomorrow, today I'm featuring its sequel. It's not really spoilery for the first book, so if you haven't checked out the first book you should be okay.

Outpost coverDeuce’s whole world has changed. Down below, she was considered an adult. Now, topside in a town called Salvation, she’s a brat in need of training in the eyes of the townsfolk. She doesn’t fit in with the other girls: Deuce only knows how to fight.

To make matters worse, her Hunter partner, Fade, keeps Deuce at a distance. Her feelings for Fade haven’t changed, but he seems not to want her around anymore. Confused and lonely, she starts looking for a way out.

Deuce signs up to serve in the summer patrols—those who make sure the planters can work the fields without danger. It should be routine, but things have been changing on the surface, just as they did below ground. The Freaks have grown smarter. They’re watching. Waiting. Planning. The monsters don’t intend to let Salvation survive, and it may take a girl like Deuce to turn back the tide.

From Goodreads

I gotta tell you, I've got this one right now & I want to read it so bad, but I'm being a good blogger & reading another review book first. I absolutely cannot wait to sink my teeth into this continuation of such an amazing story. With such compelling & wide-ranging characters I can't imagine what will happen in this volume.

What are you waiting on this week?
