Some of you may remember back in May when I posted my own challenge based around YALSA's Teens' Top Ten voting and I'm here to update you!
Voting for the top ten books of 2010 is currently going on in libraries all over the country as well as online on the YALSA site. Voting started Monday Aug. 23rd and will continue through this Friday Sept. 17th. My challenge was broken into 3 different levels of participation based on the fact that there are 26 nominated books.
While I was hoping to get more of the books read, I think I only managed to read 12 of the 26 nominated titles. It's really hard to get all those book read, especially with all the other books that continue to be published in the meantime. I want to give a big thanks to the 6 people who accepted the challenge that I put out and I want to encourage them that it's not too late to try to squeeze in one more book on your list! Check back on Monday the 20th to see who wins in each category!
I'm still plugging away at the other challenges. I am sad to say I have only read 40 books this year, but since I've been working full-time at a job that doesn't allow reading, it's been difficult to match up to my reading pace last year. I am hoping to capitalize on my reading time to make 100 by the end of the year, but we'll have to see how that goes. I'd be content with 75. Hope your challenges are going well.
What reading challenges have you joined and which ones do you think I would like?

I've just joined an Authors by the Alphabet book club -- http://tomesdevotee.blogspot.com/2010/08/authors-by-alphabet-book-club.html
I'm also hoping to participate in Dewey's Read-a-thon

Awesome website, I hadn't noticed lisettebes.blogspot.com earlier during my searches!
Carry on the fantastic work!
I entered your challenge in the solo division, and I finished 3 books. I would have liked to have read more - I'm sure I'll get around to the rest of them eventually!
I've completed a few short-term challenges, such as my goal to read 200 hours for summer reading at my library. I also did a "Read Your Own Books in August" challenge to cut down my TBR pile. In 2010, I am trying to read 100 books, and I also plan to join the 2010 Debut Author challenge (a bit late!). A few ongoing challenges I'm joining are Literary Road Trip & Support Your Local Authors. I also saw a Banned Books Challenge somewhere, but I don't know if I should try to join any more ;)
P.S. I think the links to all those challenges are on my blog somewhere if you need them.
