Waiting on Wednesday recognizes that we as bookies pine for books. This post is about what I am impatiently waiting for right now. It was started by Jill at Breaking the Spine.
I first posted about Sacred during Armchair BEA. This is one of those books that I've been looking forward to for a while. It's not that the book is fundamentally different from anything I normally read, it's just that it sounds so mysterious and enthralling. Sacred by Elana K. Arnold is scheduled for a November 13 release. Here's hoping my library gets the date close!
Growing up on Catalina Island, off the California coast, Scarlett Wenderoth has led a fairly isolated life. How incredible is that summary? I have a feeling this will be a paranormally/urban fantasy book, but I'm glad that I can't make out which variety. There can be so little mystery to books anymore that I find it refreshing to occasionally be taken by surprise. I'm hoping this book will do just that.

I see quite a few things I like about this title: a. I have actually been to Catalina so I recognize the setting and b. there is a boy named Will. I love bookish boys named Will!
I married a bookish Will, so I'm kind of partial too.
